This very special event includes spoken word, visual art, improvised music, all together in a literary sphere. Featured writers are:

Jennifer Hosein , writer, visual artist, and educator

Gloria Blizzard, poet and essayist with saxophonist Michael Arthurs

We will also be joined by four additional very talented writers: Robin Pacific, H. Nigel Thomas, Carol B. Duncan and Eleni Gouliaras.

I had the pleasure of reading poetry at Glen Hornblast’s Song & Poetry Salon with some   wonderful poets and singer-songwriters. Poet Ivy Reiss and I had a blast performing my poem, I Love You, in English and Hungarian; the poem was translated into Hungarian for the anthology Crystal Garden/Kristalykert by Gerevich Andras.

I’ll be a poetry feature along with Rajinderpal S. Pal at Wild Writers Poetry Salon at the Poetry Jazz Cafe in Kensington Market on Tuesday, September 3. The Salon runs from 7 to 9 pm at 224 Augusta Ave in Toronto. There are 12 open mic spots and the vibe is very cozy and welcoming.

Poetry & Music Salon/A Fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders

This is going to be an awesome event: A Poetry and Music Salon that is a fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders. It takes place on Saturday, May 27th from 1:45 to 4:00 p.m. at the Palmerston Library Theatre, 560 Palmerston Ave., Toronto, and features 6 poets and 6 musicians. Brenda Clews is the host, and I will be one of the featured performers, along with Isabel Fryszberg, Heather Babcock, Karen Shenfeld, Jim McCuaig, Michael Marian, Tricia Postle, Tom Hamilton, Stanley Fefferman, Neil Traynor, James Dewar, and Anna Gutmanis. I am so excited!
